TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — In January 2026, the city of Twin Falls released new utility billing software, but by the end of February, customers received inaccurate utility billing statements from the transition. The city had temporarily paused late fees and shutoffs.

Starting July 1, the city of Twin Falls Utility Services Department will assess all past-due utility accounts, according to a recent release. Starting Aug. 1, services may be disconnected for accounts that are more than $90 past due and at least 30 days delinquent.

Customers who need assistance can ask for a payment arrangement if they have not missed a previous payment arrangement within the last year. For more information and to apply for a payment arrangement, visit tfid.org.

The city thanks customers for their patience and understanding during the transition to the new system.
